Students’ perceptions on learning independence: how self-regulated learning strategy helps?

This study aims to determine the effects of a self-regulated learning strategy on students’ independence in Literal Reading education. is an educational course working literal comprehension and assigned 2nd semester students. experiment was carried out using with phases; (1) Forethought Planning phase, (2) Performance Monitoring (3) Self-Reflection phase. 120 students were selected as participants, case experimental diary conducted observe implementation utilized strategy. A questionnaire distributed these patterns by which helped developing independent The results showed; emphasized goal settings, journal completions, lecturers' feedback reviews, Most positively perceived strategy, exhibiting some characteristics, such academic setting, process monitoring, self-evaluation. These indicated that influenced development students' Independence.
